Lindsey Holley is Executive Director of Biblica Europe. In a recent visit to Redcliffe Lindsey was sharing about the remarkable NIrV Accessible Bible and we just had to capture this for the podcast!
So many of us take reading the Bible for granted. However, for millions of people with sight loss, learning disabilities or lower levels of literacy, accessing God’s Word can be a real struggle. Developed by Biblica and in partnership with Livability, Torch Trust and Urban Saints, the NIrV Accessible Bible aims to make it easier by using carefully designed features.
Listen to this episode to find out more about the story of how the Accessible Bible project came about, what the reception has been like, and what the future holds.
We were really struck by the variety of features that have gone into making this Bible accessible. It’s a great example of Scripture Engagement, which is a specialism within Redcliffe’s MA in Contemporary Missiology programme.
We also enjoyed hearing from Lindsey about the broader work of Biblica: The International Bible Society.
You can find out more about the NIrV Accessible Bible on Biblica’s website.
